Had to post a piece of chapter 3……
At this moment all of the emotions of the night came out in his production. He vented through chords and progressions. It was like he was telling the keyboard everything he felt and everything that happened. For hours he lost himself in his music, sweat and tears began to flow down his face as all the emotions and confusion surfaced. He cut all the lights off and only left a small collection of dim lamps on over his workstation. He bounced from the drum pads to the keyboard. Each time adding a new sound new melody new. Sonya sat in aww from the lounge listening to the music coming from the room. She listened as he created sequence after sequence. Bouncing from idea to idea track after track. Realizing he was in his zone she did not want to go into the room. She was happy he left the door open so she could hear everything. Through all the arrogance and the macho attitude Sonya has almost forgot Ray was a child prodigy and a classically trained musician. Suddenly inspired, she picked up her phone and pulled up the notepad application and began writing. As music came to him words began to spill into her phone. She could not type fast enough. From separate rooms their minds intertwined with each other from different ends of a songs spectrum. This went on for hours until Rays fingers became too tired to press any more keys or pads.
Now feeling much better having had unleashed all his emotions and frustrations, he reached into a drawer of his work station and pulled out a tube of icy hot and a pair of weightlifting gloves. He massaged the cream into his hands and put the gloves on. He sat in silence for a few minutes while the computer saved and archived his his jam session. He walked out to find Sonya saving all her writings and voice recordings on her phone. “You hungry”
